"Children of the future don’t know the warmth of a stranger's hand"
Created in collaboration with director Dave Thacker, this project was approached as a short film. Inspired by our current situation, the narrative follows the day of a man in 2070. Where the virus has caused irreversible change to human interaction.
To start we sat with Glue70 to understand the message behind his music, and what the song meant to him. The focus was on human relationships. Inspired by his vision Ben Jac wrote a short story that explored humanity in the age of the artificial intelligence, and what it is that truly makes us human. Read that here.
Whether these things had been stripped away, and what a long term future could look like under these conditions. Would we turn to Artificial Intelligence for human connections when, as a society, we are so disconnected from each other?
We created a mood book to dictate the Art Direction of the project and influence every creative decision we took throughout the production, including locations, costume design, actors etc. Also helping out on the shoot to bring the vision to life with the talented Dave Thacker.
It was important to go into great detail within the world we created, maintaining a consistent and engaging visual experience for the viewers. To establish this we created propaganda posters, futuristic landscapes and a brand design for "Atma Corporation", the company responsible for creating the Artificial intelligence.
It was an ambitious project within the budget and took a Herculean effort from everyone involved to complete the project. The final cut is exactly what we envisaged and it's something we are all very proud of, racking up the views on YouTube and helping to establish Glue70 at that next level of artist development.
